Job Description
The Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the Business of IT, providing leadership for the cross-functional management of information and technology across the enterprise, while supporting the office of the CIO (OCIO). The role will oversee performance management, define IT ways of working (for example, common methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance and optimize IT operations). This role focuses on ensuring that the IT organization "does the right things" through strategy, planning, governance, and value realization, as well as "doing things right" through organizational and operational model development and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic liaison across IT COE leaders, Market IT leaders, and the CIO, ensuring alignment and cohesion across the IT organization
- Responsible for the creation of IT performance management including IT Operational, Performance, Financial and Risk metrics for high-impact, enterprise wide, strategic programs, or digital transformation initiatives including ITIL practice adherence, to ensure the IT organization delivers value to the enterprise
- Accountable for continued improvement in the quality of management reporting through leading initiatives to implement relevant changes to the current reporting
- Establishes and implements continuous improvement programs for the IT organization, including all aspects of IT service delivery
- Evolve and optimize the Global IT Operating Model, promoting process standardization and industry best practices, ways of working, and fostering IT cultural transformation
- Partners with Sourcing & Procurement for services, developing frameworks for vendor scoring and selection, aligned to Policies and Procedures and consistent with audit guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and other stakeholders to support M&A related activities including research and analysis, operational and technology due diligence and post-merger integration
- Owns messaging to IT teams (vision, roadmaps, process changes), drives and facilitates effective collaboration and communications between the IT organization and the user and customer communities
- Partners with IT leadership team to standardize and hone messaging that is unified and consistent with CIO's vision and strategy
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Over 15 years of experience in IT and business/industry with a minimum of five to seven years of experience in team management and leadership responsibilities
- Experience in business/industry (beyond IT), managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
- Strong leadership capability with proven track record of successful team development and working effectively with all organizational levels
- Expertise in financial management, workforce management, value management, IT strategic planning, IT governance formulation, and organizational change management
- Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype
- Proven track record of innovation, both in internal problem solving and in fostering innovative uses of technology in the organization
- Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across the IT organization
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
- Proven ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
- Strong customer and user experience focus
