Job Description

The Vice President of Global Tax is a key member of the global finance leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization. This role requires a strong strategic focus on tax compliance, planning, risk management, and optimization across multiple jurisdictions. This role will ensure the company adheres to all tax regulations while identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and support the company's business growth initiatives globally.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in international tax matters, excellent leadership capabilities, and experience managing a large, diverse tax function in a global organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Global Tax Strategy & Compliance:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with business objectives, including transfer pricing policies and tax-efficient supply chain structures.

· Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.

· Lead global tax reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns and other necessary documentation.

Tax Planning & Optimization:

· Identify tax-saving opportunities through effective tax planning, including the use of credits, deductions, and incentives.

· Develop strategies to minimize tax exposure and optimize tax outcomes across all business units and geographies.

· Advise senior leadership on tax implications of business decisions, including M&A transactions, expansions, divestitures, and restructuring.

Risk Management & Audit:

· Monitor and manage tax risks, ensuring robust tax governance and controls.

· Lead interactions with external tax authorities and oversee all tax audits and disputes globally.

· Stay current on changing tax laws, regulations, and policies in key jurisdictions to manage risks and opportunities.

Team Leadership:

· Lead and mentor a global tax team, providing strategic guidance and fostering a high-performance culture.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and operations to support business objectives.

· Build strong relationships with external advisors, government agencies, and industry peers to represent the company's interests.

Tax Reporting & Forecasting:

· Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards.

· Provide tax forecasts to the finance team and senior management to support budgeting and financial planning processes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA/CTA qualification preferred

· 15+ years of experience in tax with a strong focus on global or international tax matters, with strong leadership experience

· Expertise in tax planning, compliance, audits, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions

· Deep knowledge of US and international tax laws, including OECD, BEPS, and transfer pricing regulations

· Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex tax issues

· Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience working with senior leadership and managing large, distributed teams
