Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Carilion Clinic, headquartered in Roanoke, VA, is excited to announce the availability of a full-time faculty position to join a well-established community-based practice of 5 Board-Certified OB/GYN's, 5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners and a Certified Nurse Midwife with Carilion Women's located in Christiansburg, Virginia.
The new faculty member will have a full spectrum general obstetric and gynecologic practice at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, a 146-bed acute-care medical center with excellent support staff and a medical staff of 280 physicians, representing a broad range of specialists, and a Level II Nursery. The practice averages 70-75 deliveries and 20-25 non-obstetrical surgeries per month. Call currently 1:5 and will be 1:6 or better with new physician.
Ground and air transportation is also available to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with Level III Nursery and 60-bed NICU, located in Roanoke, VA.
The practice has a strong partnership with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, located in Blacksburg, where all physicians are adjunct faculty. Opportunities are also available for physicians interested in research and partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine located on our Roanoke campus.

Requirements for this position include the following: MD/DO, Completion of ACGME/AOA-approved OB/GYN Residency program with board certification or be an active candidate for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicant must be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia and an active DEA. Position does not qualify for waiver of J-1 Visa.
