POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position performs general accounting duties with primary responsibility in accounts payable, while also supporting company safety initiatives and assisting with customer inquiries related to ordering, pricing, and product availability.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs general accounting duties including Accounts Payable processing, check runs and vendor statement review.
• Perform AR duties including processing customer payments, contact customers for outstanding payments, reconciliation of AR at end of month.
• Generation and reconciliation of report data.
• Perform accounting duties with minimal supervision including problem solving and data analysis.
• Investigate discrepancies in invoice amounts.
• Assist in supporting company safety programs and compliance initiatives including documentation and reporting.
• Respond to and assist with customer inquiries regarding order status, pricing, and product availability.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate customer information.
• Participate in Open Book Management principles.
• Follow safety standards and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work attendance must be exemplary.
