To support our growth- and change agenda in Circle K Norge, we are now strengthening the Performance Management and Analytics (PMA) team and are looking for an engaged Business Controller. 


As a Business Controller you will be responsible for creating financial insight into various business areas with special focus on merchandising and store operations, providing expertise and support as basis for good decision-making processes. You will be an important partner for numerous stakeholders, including Station Operations, Market Development and Management.

The role includes follow-up of financial performance, taking part in the improvement of both business and financial processes ensuring that the company takes the right fact-based decisions. You will be closely following up store performance and play an instrumental role in identifying initiatives and challenging established truths when it comes to profitability, operations and processes. 

What You'll do:

  • Plan, analyze and communicate store performance and results
  • Develop profitability analyses and create insight both through monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses 
  • Follow up profitability; identify and implement initiatives both in terms of improving sales and optimizing cost
  • Drive improvement agenda by participating and leading various projects, such as benchmarking and outlier analyses
  • Lead the budget process for our company owned stores
  • Participate in Group- and Management reporting
  • Serve as a sparring partner to various stakeholders and provide support on commercial and financial questions 

Who You are:

  • You are analytical as well as strategic with a pragmatic mindset 
  • You have excellent Excel skills and experience from working with large quantities of data and have the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • You have a strong commercial mindset and are always looking for opportunities to strengthen our business
  • You strive for continuous improvement and enjoy identifying potential and improving processes
  • You are a strong collaborator and builds strong relationships with various stakeholders
  • You are curious and persistent
  •  Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience from consulting and/or business controlling 
  • Experience from management / operational reporting and analytics
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Experience with working closely with cross-functional teams and executives
