JOB SUMMARY: The Material Handler is responsible for moving product throughout the facility utilizing a forklift at our warehouse. This is a second shift position - 3:00 pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday, Occasional Saturdays as directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Transport ingredients from freezers, coolers and dry warehouse into production room using a forklift.
• Using a forklift, bring finished goods to appropriate area of warehouse.
• Shipping & receiving, inbound & outbound deliveries.
• Return unused ingredients to proper location.
• Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized as needed.
• Notify Line Lead, Chief Lead, Distribution Manager or Plant Manager of inferior product issues or equipment that is not working properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by HSF Management, Supervisors and/or Leads.
• Perform all duties in compliance with USDA or FDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies and procedures; including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• 1 year or more experience operating a standup forklift
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Have the ability to comprehend basic verbal instructions and read product labels and production sheets in English.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

• Ability to lift, push, pull carry up to 5 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while performing repetitive twisting and reaching motions with hands, wrists and/or arms.
• Ability to bend, squat and reach above shoulders frequently.
• Ability to walk frequently
• Ability to stand for an entire shift.
• Work in an environment that is between 35 and 40 degrees above zero Fahrenheit for an entire shift.
• No minimum education requirement; High School diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience in a food production facility preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.57 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
