CRA DATA ANALYTICS MANAGER
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The CRA Data Analytics Manager will bethe technical expert who is reliable and knowledgeable resource for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) reporting requirements. This position will be responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all data and assist with ensuring the Bank meets the regulatory requirements of a large institution in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and directing and coordination of day-to-day regulatory changes to the CRA regulations. Develops and oversees the HMDA/CRA loan data, small business/farm lending date, community development loans and investments, and branch/service data used in CRA performance evaluations and public file reporting.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Own the end-to-end CRA data lifecycle: collections geocoding, aggregation, validation, and submission of CRA LAR filings
- Manage data reconciliation between loan origination system, core banking platforms, and CRA reporting Software
- Design and maintain data quality controls, edit checks, and exception reporting to catch coding errors before filing deadlines
- Support OCC examination requests by producing accurate data extracts, assessment area analyses, and lending distribution tables
- Prepare data-driven performance metrics for CRA strategic planning and board/committee reporting
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how areas of CRA analysis collectively integrate to contribute to achieving the Bank's overall CRA performance goals.
- Manage the development of CRA regulatory strategic planning related to changes to CRA Regulation.
- Project design and management, coordinating on behalf of the CRA Department with internal stakeholders.
- Exercise both thought leadership and initiative in developing and leading the bank's efforts to implement changes to the CRA program in response regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of CRA related regulatory changes and assist in implementation of requirements for the relevant line of business.
- Use CRA Wiz or RiskExec tool to oversee the process and management of data received from assigned CRA data reporting lines of businesses.
- Oversee loan file reviews and validate accuracy and completeness of data collected for CRA regulatory reporting purpose.
- Work with the lines of business (LOBs) to improve data quality and integrity through the accurate data collection processes and sound operational controls to mitigate risks.
- Log and track data issues detected during monthly processing and data integrity reviews and work to address and resolve issues with LOB and Technology department (TECH)
- Oversee the annual submission for a complete and accurate CRA Loan Registers (LRs) to the appropriate regulatory agency.
- Prepare timely reports on data errors and process deficiencies for distribution to LOB management. Analyze data errors to determine trends and monitor corrective actions to measure performance and responsiveness by business units.
- Oversee the analysis on community development loans by gathering information, conducting demographic, economic, and market research to determine eligibility.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Economics, Statistics, quantitative research, or a related field
- 5+ years' experience in Data Reporting, quality and audit in CRA or Compliance function.
- 7+ years of experience in Data Reporting, CRA or Compliance function.
- Prior management experience
- Experience in a cross- functional environment working with various consumer and commercial products.
- Knowledge of CRA reporting software, Wiz/RiskExecand designing reports in database such as Tableau.
- Experience supporting OCC, FDIC, or Federal Reserve CRA examinations
- Some knowledge of 1071 Rule
- Proficient with Microsoft office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment, ability to multi-task and to be flexible.
- Knowledge of Compliance risk framework.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $99,000 - $176,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
