SENIOR DATA ANALYST - DATA FLOWS & RECONCILIATIONS (HYBRID W/ 2-3 DAYS IN OFFICE)

 

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This role will be responsible for designing and building out missing systemic data flows and performing data reconcilations across across the Banking and Investment Services organization. Responsibilities are multi-faceted and will include such goals as comparing data sets across systems to identify and rectify discrepancies ensuring data remains accurate and consistent. This person will also engage with our technology teams to help define and support a broader end user approach to data within the larger firm-wide strategy. This role may also include future oversight of other associated automation and analytics functions. Candidate should be familiar with data sourcing strategies, data transformation and normalization, data reconciliations, data analytics approaches as well as visual data story telling. Expertise with Alteryx, Business Objects, Tableau, and Snowflake is a plus, but similar experience welcome. 

 

What you will do

• Analyze existing data flows to identify gaps/missing data
• Design and build out data flows to resolve gaps and missing data
• Perform data reconcilation to ensure data flowing betweens systems is complete, accurate and consistent
• Create scalable end user model with respect to data sourcing, tooling, training, and governance
• Manages risk by ensuring reviews and sign offs from appropriate stakeholders
• Works cross-functionally with technical, business, and compliance counterparts to define product release requirements and investigate production issues as they arise.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 3 year's relevant experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience working in a data analysis or data reconciliation role
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools (Sharepoint, SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, Crystal reports/Dashboard, etc)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking/operations

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must have working knowledge of bank systems, processes and controls.
• Experience working in a formal risk controls environment with strong understanding of scheduled deliverables.
• Well versed in a collaborative/ team-focused environment directly communicating with Managers and peers on a daily basis.
• Well versed in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Emphasis in Regulatory Reporting experience preferred.

Compensation Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
