RELATIONSHIP MANAGER ASSOCIATE-STRUCTURED FINANCE WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Develops and manages relationships with asset managers, private equity funds, credit funds, BDCs, and sponsor-backed companies. Provides tailored financing solutions to meet client needs, including subscription lines, asset leverage facilities, leveraged credit for middle market companies, and management company facilities. Responsible for overall relationship profitability, portfolio risk management, and the origination, structuring, execution, and ongoing management of complex sponsor and fund finance transactions. This is achieved through proactive business development, client calling, and referrals from existing relationships, while consistently delivering CNB's exemplary standard of service. The Relationship Manager is expected to build and maintain deep product knowledge across Structured Finance offerings, with emphasis on subscription/capital call lending, leveraged lending, fund and asset-based facilities, and middle-market cash flow lending.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?- Supports the Structured Finance team in structuring, underwriting and execution of fund finance and leveraged loan transactions by conducting credit and financial analysis, preparing underwriting materials, coordinating due diligence, negotiating documentation, and supporting the closing and ongoing portfolio management of facilities
- Conduct credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessments to support pricing and risk decisions, and work with the Underwriting Group and risk partners to monitor portfolio quality and address issues. Perform borrower, fund, and investor-level due diligence, including legal document review, collateral analysis, and covenant evaluation.
- Identify business opportunities and solicits referrals from existing customers, a network of referral sources, and other professionals in the industry. Develops a strong understanding of the client's company, industry, and business needs to assist in customer calling efforts.
- Calls on existing and prospective clients to discuss and promote all Bank products and services in order to establish a total client banking relationship. Discusses financing opportunities and general business conditions; assist in forecasting clients' credit needs and developing tailored solutions. Engage product specialists as needed to problem-solve or structure transactions.
- Negotiates transactions; prices loan products within targeted rate of return; documents and closes loan transactions, ensures conformance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements. Exercises sound credit and risk judgement when recommending approvals and ensures all new business meets Bank standards.
- Represents the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.
- Interfaces with other Bank departments as necessary. Defines responsibilities and coordinates objectives for all product areas in a relationship or transaction. Resolves all client needs and any internal issues.
- Monitors and analyzes relationship results and account activities. Determines client profitability. Makes a recommendation regarding accounts to be further developed or eliminated. Prepares reports for management.
Maintains awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in market conditions. - Analyzes problem credits and meet with clients to develop solutions that minimize loss exposure.
- Manages relationships that may include numerous complex accounts, requiring operational expertise to balance workflow, client needs, risk management, and cross-selling opportunities
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimun 2 years or financial services or related experience
Minimun 2 years of credit experience
- Superior client relationship skills.
- Good understanding of commercial credit policies and procedures.
- Sound credit analysis and accounting skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Completion of Formal Credit Training such as credit "boot camp" at a financial institution.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
