GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of an employee of a higher classification, performs journeyman level electrical work in construction and maintenance activities at sewage pumping and treatment facilities. Work involves performance of skilled electrical tasks in inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. Assignments are given orally or in writing. An employee of this class may be on twenty-four-hour call. Performs other work as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent certificate of competency, supplemented by completion of vocational school in the field of electrical or electrical control systems, and four years of experience in electrical construction and maintenance work, including one year of experience in an industrial environment.

SUBSTITUTIONS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
(Unless otherwise specified below, must possess at the time of appointment and must be maintained current throughout employment in this classification.) Must have a valid Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment in this classification.
