GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of an employee of a higher classification, performs technical work inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on electronic and pneumatic control systems for the City-Parish's sewage pumping and treatment facilities. Assignments are given orally or in writing. An employee of this class may be on twenty-four-hour call. Performs other work as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent certificate of competency, supplemented by completion of vocational school in the field of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or mechanical control instruments and systems, and four years of experience as an instrument technician, including one year of experience in an industrial environment.

SUBSTITUTIONS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
(Unless otherwise specified below, must possess at the time of appointment and must be maintained current throughout employment in this classification.) Must have a valid Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment in this classification.
