GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Assistant Wastewater Collections Systems Manager, performs responsible technical and administrative work in supervising the operations of the Wastewater Sewer Inspections division. Inspects work on various projects and maintains files and records of all vital information. Work is performed with some latitude and independence in decision making within established policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines. Wowed through observation, conferences, reports, and for results obtained. Performs other work as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent certificate of competency, and four years of progressively responsible experience in sewer disposal systems involving inspection, construction, maintenance, and drainage.

SUBSTITUTIONS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
(Unless otherwise specified below, must possess at the time of appointment and must be maintained current throughout employment in this classification.) Employees of this classification must obtain a Class I Wastewater Collection Certificate issued by the Louisiana State Department of Health within one calendar year from the initial employment or employee will be terminated. Obtaining a Class I certifica te is a requirement of employment; therefore the probationary period will end after the employee has completed six (6) months of employment and received the required Class I certificate. Position(s) of this classification may require a valid Louisiana driver's licensnse is required, must be maintained throughout employment in this position.
