Bring history to life through engaging storytelling and  interactive demonstrations!  Share what you cherish about Indigenous histories and cultures in order to create new understandings and lifelong memories that honour the past and the present. Use your humour, grace, and traditional skills in a dynamic outdoor work environment that puts you front and centre in Edmonton's history.

What will you do?

  • Engage visitors with Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) histories and cultures as it relates to Edmonton within the Indigenous Peoples Experience 

  • Interpret a period of Edmonton's history to the visiting public using a variety of methods such as: storytelling, demonstrations of traditional skills, engaging visitors in one-on-one conversations, and tours

  • Participate in and lead large-scale interpretive programs such as historical talks, dramatic vignettes, and special event activities, as well as research and implement new programs

  • Assist with high-volume special events

  • Assist in the maintenance of artifacts and program supplies

  • Collect statistical information

  • Lead programs for pre-registered school groups and other groups as required

  • Participate in media engagements, public events, and other functions as required
