The Building Great Neighbourhoods Branch leads the process of integrating and leveraging a scope of work that maximizes the full potential for strong and sustainable neighbourhoods. We are at the heart of aligning and advancing multi-faceted neighbourhood renewal efforts with a focus on neighbourhood roadway reconstruction.
In this role you will apply your project management skills and technical knowledge to an exciting program of mature residential neighbourhoods projects that directly enhance the lives of Edmontonians. You will collaborate with various internal collaborators and external consultants to deliver innovative solutions to projects of variable complexity. Throughout the development of your own projects and the support you provide to others, your success will be measured by your ability to achieve timely results in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way.
What will you do?:
- Support the Project Manager to deliver projects on time, on budget and within scope
- Act as a project liaison for the Program/Project Manager with the consultants and contractors
- Monitor and report risk to the Program/Project Manager
- Apply project management best practices and systems to support project goals
- Assist Project manager with scheduling meetings, taking notes, drafting correspondence and editing documents
- Organize reports, invoices, contracts, and other essential project documents
- Support public engagement activities and processes
- Apply City of Edmonton Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Guidelines to each project with support from Branch Safety Officer
- Liaise with business partners and engage the public and other collaborators throughout the project
- Lead and support projects with public engagement plans and activities in accordance with the Branch public engagement charter
- Foster an inclusive culture of collaboration amongst project teams, across the corporation and beyond
- Perform other related duties as required
