Description
**This posting is for one (1) full-time temporary position ending on or before October 24, 2025** The Edmonton Police Service Requires an individual with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail to assume the following responsibilities within the Disaster & Emergency Operations Planning Section (DEOPS). Responsibilities include:
- Seeking and monitoring potential emergencies from a variety of sources and distributing applicable information to the appropriate members of DEOPS.
- Maintaining all section organization charts, call-out lists and call-out schedules.
- Preparing major event SOP binders for distribution to EPS.
- Payroll and attendance tracking, including overseeing the completion of weekly payroll attendance sheets, maintaining updated shift schedules, preparing annual vacation sheets, maintain a database of member overtime , and producing a month end overtime report.
- Collecting statistical information and creating statistical reports from databases.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of training relating to DEOPS, including but not limited to: Extra Duty Detail, Gas Mask FIT Testing, Incident Command System, and Pandemic Planning.
- Providing guidance service wide with regards to the use of ICS (Incident Command System) online training modules and Search Manager Database.
- Composing correspondence, typing memos, minutes, reports and other documents required for DEOPS.
- Performing general office duties, including collecting and distributing mail, maintaining the filing system, records management system and photocopying/scanning.
- Performing other related duties as required.
