Position Description: Driver

Job Responsibilities:
The Driver plays a key role in ensuring materials are consistently delivered to job sites as anticipated. The primary responsibility of this position is to drive to and from pre-arranged sites where materials are being delivered as needed. In order to accomplish this, a Driver must perform daily pre and post trip inspections and keep consistent and accurate written records of findings and observations.
Job Requirements:
Friendly with good, clean appearance
Takes pride in work
Possess valid driver's license and auto insurance
Possess valid CDL license
Possess high school diploma or equivalent
Applicants are subject to a background check and must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Maintain professionalism while on the highway, including knowing and abiding by all DOT regulations (i.e. maintenance of service logs, speed limits, warnings)
Ability to perform daily inspections of vehicle in accordance to DOT regulations
Ability to learn and comply with the legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes
Committed to high level of customer satisfaction
Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment
Possess strong customer relations skills
Must be reliable and dependable
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Possess basic carpentry skills (i.e. trim work, roofing, replace windows, realign doors, patch wallboard)
Possess basic repair skills (i.e. repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, door/cabinet hardware)
Ability to work in all environments (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow)
Ability to lift and move furniture, wallboard, water heater, etc. (100 lbs.)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Order parts and materials for home repair
Bill back the plant on warranty issues
Organize, schedule and file customer service issues
Maintain good Home Center appearance
Cooperative and collaborative, willing and eager to work in a team environment, assist with miscellaneous duties as required
Compensation:
- As a CDL Driver with Clayton Homes, you will receive an hourly wage.
- Pay: $26.00+
