Director of Pharmacy - Full time
Heartland Behavioral Hospital
Nevada, MO

Schedule: 
This full time position works 32 hours per week, day shifts and includes being on call when the pharmacy is closed.

As a full time, exempt, Director of Pharmacy  with CPS Solutions at Heartland Behavioral Health in Nevada, Missouri you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. 

About the Facility: Heartland Behavioral Health Services is a Joint Commissioned accredited facility that offers TRICARE-certified acute psychiatric hospitalization and longer-term residential treatment for youth ages 3-19 with mental health issues, substance abuse issues, or emotional and behavioral disorders. The facility is situated on 50 acres on the outskirts of Nevada, about 90 miles south of Kansas City. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services has partnered with Heartland Behavioral Health Services to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy; with all pharmacy staff being employed by CPS.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy utilizes HCS for order entry, CPOE and MedDispense automated dispensing cabinets.  The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm and has remote pharmacy services from 4:30pm -7:30am on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Degree - Bachelors or Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Missouri Pharmacist licensure that is currently active and in good standing
  • At least 1 year of recent Pharmacy Management experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff
