Pharmacy Technician-in-Training
Brentwood Springs
Newburgh, Indiana

As a part time, non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician-in-Training, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include:

- Accurately prepares medications for pharmacist review before being dispensed.
- Performs tasks involved with preparation and labeling of IV admixtures and associated record keeping.
- Packages dry orals, liquid orals and small volume injectables in unit-of-use containers using a combination 
of mechanical equipment and manual procedures.
- Delivers medications to patient care areas within appropriate time frames.
- Ensures drug items are appropriately billed to various areas or patients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Schedule: This position can possibly work up to 29 hours per week 9:00am to 2:00pm. The schedule will vary.

This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 2:30pm. 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet Indiana state guidelines for working in for a Pharmacy Technician Trainee i.e. Registration, etc.
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification program or Pharmacy Technician License within 12 months.
  • Ability to learn process for dispensing of medications.
  • Knowledge and ability to read and comprehend physician's orders relating to medications and treatments.
  • Limited typing experience.
  • Demonstrated team collaboration skills. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and 
    team members. Strong customer service focus. Demonstrates appropriate 
    problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
