Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital

As a per diem, non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC  Pharmacy Technician,  you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. This position will also carry out pharmacy buyer duties as assigned.

Schedule : This position is a per diem position and is scheduled to work 8-12 hours per week as well as on an as-needed basis to cover PTO and vacations.

Starting Pay: $20/hr, (Depending on related work experience)

About the Facility:  Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital is a joint venture between Universal Health Services and Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine. The 128-bed facility will feature Lancaster County's only dedicated inpatient unit for adolescents, as well as a dedicated women's trauma unit, for sexual-assault victims or women with a history of traumatic injuries because of domestic violence. Slated to open in mid-2018, the hospital will also offer day-treatment services for adolescent, dual-diagnosis, older adult, and substance-abuse patients.  Pharmacy automation includes EPIC and Omnicell.  CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-5:00 pm, Saturday/Sunday from 8:00 am-12:00 pm

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
  • PA Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
