Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem 
Hillsboro Area Hospital
Hillsboro, Illinois

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position does not have any regularly scheduled hours and provides coverage on an as needed basis. Weekdays and weekends as needed.

Pay Range:$17-$20/hr based on experience

About the Facility: Hillsboro Area Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited, 25 bed Critical Access Hospital offering the following services: Emergency Care Emergency Care is available 24/7 365 days a year Inpatient Care Transitional Care (Swing Bed) Diagnostic Imaging Laboratory Physical Therapy Respiratory Sleep Clinic Surgery Tremont Assisted Living Center Hillsboro Specialty Clinics with outpatient clinic(s). CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  The pharmacy is open Monday-Sunday from 8am-4:30pm.  

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy (Hospital preferred)
  • Must meet any IL State Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • ​Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine-Full (may be required)
