Staff Pharmacist- Full-Time
Western State Hospital
Hopkinsville, KY Description: As a full time non exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist , you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm as well as one Saturday shift a month. This position will also rotate on call with the pharmacy staff. Starting Pay: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour, based on experience Pharmacy Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 4:30PM and Saturday 7:30AM to 11:30AM.
About the Facility: Western State Hospital is an acute care adult psychiatric facility operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The hospital serves the most western 34 counties in Kentucky. All referrals for admissions come from one the four Community Mental Health Centers serving in the four regions of Western Kentucky. Western is an acute care hospital that is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
Requirements:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Pharmacist license in good standing in KY
- Experience as a Pharmacist in a clinical setting preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
