Staff Pharmacist - Part Time

As a part time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Fremont Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter and verify medication orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; complete daily and weekly reports and attend rounds and committee meetings as required; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This part time, nonexempt position will provide coverage for 20-29 hours per week on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am-1:30pm.
Pay Range: $65-$70/hour based on experience.
About the Facility: Fremont Hospital is a private, modern 148-bed behavioral healthcare facility that provides services to adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Services offered include treatment of psychiatric conditions, chemical dependency, and treatment of 'dual diagnosis' (co-existing psychiatric condition and chemical dependency). A variety of treatment programs are available, including inpatient care, partial hospitalization (day treatment) and an intensive outpatient program. CPS Solutions, LLS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 7:00am-1:30pm. The pharmacy is supported by Omnicell automation.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
- Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concern
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full
