A Day in the Life of an Adjunct Educator
Adjunct Educators in our facility play a crucial role in delivering specialized medical education, particularly in life-saving emergency support techniques, to enhance overall community and patient care. The responsibilities include administering a set curriculum, upholding training standards, and utilizing adult learning principles to effectively teach and evaluate student performance. This role requires handling of training equipment and educational materials meticulously, ensuring their readiness and proper documentation for classes. Collaboration with other educators is essential to manage classroom dynamics and instructional responsibilities efficiently. The work environment demands adaptability and a commitment to continuous professional development to maintain instructional efficacy and relevance in medical practices.

Education is the foundation of exceptional healthcare, and the Facility Education team at CRMC ensures that every employee has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in their role. While providing comprehensive training for all employees, this department also has a state-of-the-art simulation lab to create realistic, hands-on learning experiences for nurses. From new hire orientation and continuing education to high-tech clinical simulations that prepare nurses for complex patient scenarios, this team is dedicated to fostering growth, competency, and excellence across the organization.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor Certifications are for the disciplines in which the educator is qualified and intending to teach
- If LPN or RN, must have current Minnesota license
- Instructor certifications are for Heartsaver and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months, and for Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License
- Graduate from a recognized EMS training program or accredited school of nursing
- If EMS, licensed at minimum of EMT level
- DOT certified
The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employee's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
