Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. The current suite of systems includes multiple applications including, but not limited, to the Tier 1 systems for Retail Pharmacy (RxConnect). The Advisor will partner and collaborate with the development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver Business change and innovation into our Java based business applications software. The Advisor will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production. *Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.* * 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications * 8+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies * 2+ years of experience with React.js * The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. * Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines * Command of architecture, design, and business processes * Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices * Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goal. * Passionate about building an innovative culture. * 5+ years of experience in modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies. * 5+ years of experience in Agile development practices * Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products * Extensive experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices * Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures *Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills* * 3+ years of experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain will be preferred. * Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams, frequently oversees employee populations across multiple products supporting different business functions. May act as primary interface with internal and external executives and senior leaders, achieving consensus among stakeholders with competing objectives. * Fosters a culture of continuous open feedback within teams and business unit. * Experience working with distributed teams, working across multiple time zones and geographies. * Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction. * Ability to create and execute innovation roadmaps. * Have contributed to open-source technology and Developed patents. * Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space. * Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals. * In-depth experience with building application programming interfaces (API) and frameworks in their field. Experience in API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications *Technology* * Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure, GCP or other public cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), SaaS application development/support, CI/CD practices, containerization, Kubernetes, and Agile/DevOps methodologies. * Strong technical proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python * Familiarity with React JS, Nodejs or other front-end frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes. * Worked as Full Stack Developer with experience on building mission critical /highly scalable application with large user/infrastructure footprint * Extensive experience on Monolith to Microservices Migration * Extensive experience of the Cloud Native Development practices and 12 factor apps development * Extensive experience of Microservices Patterns and its right implementation * Familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC. * Expert Java programming knowledge on latest JDK versions, Spring framework * Knowledge of open-source packages especially those provided by Apache, Google, and Spring * Database knowledge – SQL, NoSQL, table structure, data relationships *Soft Skills* * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and influencing technical and strategic decision-making. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to product development and optimization. * Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, or equivalent product engineering collaboration tools. * A passion for innovation, with a customer-centric mindset focused on delivering exceptional user experiences. *Education* * Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience. * Masters' Degree Preferred *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $124,372.50 - $247,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
