Neuro Surgical MS RN - Nights - Deaconess Gateway **AUTO OFFER**
Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed

Must have current active compact license.
AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS required.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class).
Strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I's & O's/straight cath/Foleys, initiate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasix, etc.).
Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start: Bi-weekly orientation
Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
Primary location: Gateway
Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
Float Requirement: First to float within skillset across specified locations with notice.
On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday.

Unit Information: 37 beds. Ratio: Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:5-7; CN takes partial patient assignment.
Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates are preferred.

NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE).
Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram. General medical and psych.
Unit Information: 37 beds. Ratio: Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:5-7; CN takes partial patient assignment.
Unit Strengths: Excellent leadership - manager role since 2020. Strong team of staff nurses who welcome travelers!
