• Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical
• Neuro Surgical MS RN - Nights - Deaconess Gateway **AUTO OFFER**
• Start: 11/4 or 11/18 - Bi-weekly orientation
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
• Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
• Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram. General medical and psych.
• Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I's & O's/straight cath/Foleys, initiate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
• Unit Information: 37 beds. Ratio: Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:5-7; CN takes partial patient assignment.
• Unit Strengths: Excellent leadership - manager has been with the organization since 2012 and managing the unit since 2020. Strong, well-development team of staff nurses who welcome travelers!
• Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs
• Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change
• GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed

Job Requirements
• Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
• Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Schedule Information
• Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
• Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
