The Highlights:

In accordance with the mission of the Department of Athletics, assist in administering the progress and success of the intercollegiate men's basketball program within the guidelines of the NCAA, the BIG EAST Conference and DePaul University. This includes all pre-season, in-season and post-season activities necessary to the development of a nationally-competitive team. Assist with all operational and video functions as allowable by the NCAA, and support campus activities as authorized and requested.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage all video operations for the men's basketball program, encompassing the acquisition, organization, storage, and distribution of game, practice, opponent, and recruit footage. Leverage advanced analytical skills and basketball acumen to produce in-depth film evaluations and visual breakdowns that inform strategic decision-making by the coaching staff. Responsibilities include independently creating detailed edits and presentations that influence player development, game planning, and talent assessment.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Men's Basketball Operations and Director of Recruiting to support evaluation and recruitment efforts by sourcing and analyzing film on prospective student-athletes in alignment with NCAA and departmental guidelines.
  • Support recruiting logistics and student-athlete onboarding, including coordination of academic certification, admissions, housing, and event planning for prospective student-athletes and their families.
  • Assist with team administration and special projects, including travel, lodging, and meals during recruiting visits, while contributing to a high-performance and team-first culture within the basketball program.
  • Assist the Director, Men's Basketball Operations, in the supervision of student managers (6-10), graduate assistants, and (15-20) temporary summer camp workers.
  • Performing tasks within the scope of the department expense budget.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree, required.
  • Driver's License, required.
  • Prior experience in video operations, scouting, and analysis in college or professional basketball.
  • Proficiency with video editing and analysis software (e.g., SportsCode, Synergy, HUDL).
  • Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Experience working with coaching staffs on game planning and program development.
  • Must be able to manage the physical demands of team practice and competition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing the video process for a high-profile, Division I college athletics program.
  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with several departments. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, current video applications, and current recruiting software.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse urban and/or intercollegiate athletics environment.
  • Dedication to serving the department, the University and the student-athletes with the highest level of leadership, initiative and integrity.

This position requires working evening, weekend, and University holiday hours, including attending/traveling to all men's basketball practices, home games, and away games.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $50,174 to $70,000 per year.  The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
