Description
The Highlights: Plans, coordinates, and implements all aspects of events in the College of Communication, including commencement. Serves as the events liaison with Enrollment Management undergraduate and graduate admissions and Division of Student Affairs.
What You'll Do:
- Event Planning
• Plans and executes logistics for all college events including promotion and marketing, scheduling, venue, guests, correspondence, purchases, requesting work orders, and coordinating invitations.
• Tracks event expenses and reviews accuracy of invoices.
• Manages the scheduling of classroom and room assignments.
• Perform administrative tasks including (but not limited to) – creating name-tags, creating signage, gift preparation, data entry, event promotion (marketing), maintaining inventory of branded material.
• Provide event execution at event sites as needed. This includes (but is not limited to) event setup, event clean up, guest registration, mic running, checking catering accuracy, photography and customer service. - University Event Coordination
• Serves as point of contact for any collaborative events. Works with relevant university groups to create, coordinate, and support collaborative events such as graduate open houses and undergraduate admissions days.
• Supports recruitment efforts by providing administrative support for college tours for prospective undergraduate and graduate students.
- Bachelor's degree required with a preference to degrees held in Public Relations, Marketing, Event Planning or other related programs.
- 2+ years experience in event management or support required.
- Event management in higher education preferred.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $26.25 to $29.13.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
