Positions in this function includes those responsible for, administrative intake of members or managing the admission/discharge information post-notification, working with providers and the Clinical Team. Includes managing incoming calls, managing requests for services from providers/members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff. Member outreach to introduce and enroll into the Model of Care Regulatory program , includes coordination of care for these members and work along side RN/LVN Case Manager.

The **Clinical Administrative Coordinator** is responsible for administrative intake of members or managing the admission/discharge information post-notification, working with providers and the Clinical Team. Includes managing incoming calls, managing requests for services from providers/members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff. Member outreach to introduce and enroll into the Model of Care Regulatory program , includes coordination of care for these members and work along side RN/LVN Case Manager.

This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 1615 Orange Tree Lane, Redlands, CA 92374

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

Respond to patient questions over the phone.

Make patient follow up calls (e. g., after procedures, admissions, or ER visits) to identify/close gaps in care

Ask patients for and/or assist patients with completing required paperwork (e. g., health history, insu. rance documentation, etc.)

Connect patients with outside resources (e. g., community resources, social services) to promote self care

Review and support implementation of patient plan of care

Work directly with patients to identify specific needs and/or request adjustments to plan of care

Coordinate services/case management for non-episodic and non-catastrophic cases

Manage/respond constructively to challenging patient interactions (e. g., address lack of understanding, socioeconomic challenges, frustrated patients, language barriers)

Explain medical benefits/coverage specifics (e. g., procedures/amounts covered, denials of coverage, appeal rights)

Other duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications:**

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.

1+ years of experience working in a healthcare office setting.

Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1+ years of experience working in a customer service role

**Telecommuting Requirements:**

Reside within 50 miles of San Bernardino, CA

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

**California Residents Only:** The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
