**Description**
The Departments of Psychiatry & General Surgery, departments of the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, are recruiting a doctorally-prepared and clinically-active psychologist for the Kessler Burn Center. This faculty member will hold a joint appointment in the Departments of Psychiatry & General Surgery.
The faculty member will have educational and clinical responsibilities, including direct clinical service on an inpatient acute care service. Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and providing consultation to the team in the Kessler Burn Center, conducting assessment and intervention for patients and families regarding psychosocial needs in the setting of complex medical presentations including but not limited to acute burn injuries, medical trauma, and surgical intervention and wound management. This position also includes administrative time/effort so that the psychologist can work with other Kessler Burn Center leaders to further develop a psychosocially focused inpatient and outpatient program and to evaluate current interventions and develop a plan for scholarship once settled into the position. As a faculty member of Psychiatry, the psychologist will also provide education and supervision to trainees related to this role and more broadly regarding psychological intervention for health presentations.
Interested applicants should have earned a PhD or PsyD in clinical counseling, health, or family psychology from an APA accredited training program, as well as have demonstrated experience in medical education. Preferred candidates have clinical/supervisory skills and experience in medical-surgical settings, as well as experience working in academic medicine. Additionally, preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience in competency-based education. **Qualifications**
Must possess a Ph. D. or Psy. D. in clinical counseling, health or family psychology
Must be licensed as a psychologist in NYS prior to start

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
