+ JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Current state licensure or licensure within an enhanced compact state. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS/PALS certification preferred. Has satisfactorily completed the hospital in-service training program.
Experience
One year of Medical/Surgical or ICU nursing preferred.

Ability to lift up to 100 pounds; Ability to carry up to 40 pounds. Pushing/pulling of up to 350 pounds Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching; Fine motor skills; Must be able to see with corrective eyewear; Must be able to hear clearly with assistance; Exposure to biological hazards; Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors.
JOB SUMMARY
The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients on a daily basis, which require general therapies and interventions related to specific conditions. The RN is under the general supervision of the Director of Inpatient Nursing and Registered Nurse in charge, when not in charge. The position requires flexibility of scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Five Rivers Medical Center on all units.
