Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for NJMS-Pediatrics-Adolescent Medicine. The Licensed Practical Nurse engages adolescents and young adults (AYAs) in the clinic under the guidance of a physician and Advance Practice Nurse (APN). The LPN provides clinical expertise in family planning and prevention strategies, and provides assessment, planning, and treatment of HIV/STI positive youth in the Division of Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine (DAYAM). Functions in a variety of roles including clinical, administrative, and centralized services depending on the needs of the clinic. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides patient care according to Rutgers protocols and policies and the professional standards of the American Nurses Association.
- Complies with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CLIA, Title X, CDC, DEA, and the New Jersey Department of Public Health.
- Complies with all LPN related documented workflows including the follow-up and referral procedures.
- Works collaboratively with all clinic staff and managers to contribute to a positive work environment.
