**Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour**
Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

**Responsibilities***
**Acute Hemodialysis Unit**
Independently and completely performs focused assessment of dialysis patients to provide the most effective patient care. Assess, monitor, report and manage significant changes in a patient's condition/status, including responses to medications and treatments. Provide nursing care to patients including the administration of medications and treatments ordered and assist with interventional procedures. Document patient care, including changes in patient's status. Identify problems presented by patients and families and initiate appropriate interventions. To provide nursing advice and consultation and act as a resource to other health care team members. Individualizes communication based on the assessment of the patients and families. Independently set up, prime, initiate, manage/monitor and terminate specialized renal therapies (including Hemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy [CRRT], Peritoneal Dialysis [PD] and Prolonged Intermittent Renal Replacement Therapy [PIRRT]) in multiple clinical settings (ICU, ER, OR, etc.). Assist physicians with sterile procedures including non-tunneled catheter placements. Complete on-call as assigned. To maintain clinical expertise within this unique renal failure patient population by seeking out additional learning experiences within specialized renal therapies. Participate in ensuring patient safety. Assist in research studies and quality assurance activities.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

**Required Qualifications***
Current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan
Minimum of five (5) years of acute inpatient hemodialysis experience evidenced by performance reviews and professional references
Minimum of five (5) years of Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience as evidenced by performance reviews and professional references
Minimum five (5) years of current hemodialysis experience as evidenced by performance reviews and professional references
Prior to completion of orientation, must be able to pass EKG exam with at least 80%

**Desired Qualifications***

**Work Schedule**
Appointment: 25 hours per week
Shift/Hours/Days:Afternoon shift, ten (10) hour shifts, 1600-0230; orientation will be completed on the day shift
Requires rotation of on call coverage, weekends and holidays
