**Description**

The Departments of Psychiatry & Surgery, departments of the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, are recruiting a doctorally-prepared mental health clinician. This faculty position is headquartered in the Department of Psychiatry, in the Division of Collaborative Care & Wellness; the faculty member will work closely with colleagues in Psycho-oncology & Geriatrics. The faculty member will have research, educational and clinical responsibilities, including direct clinical service, and supervision.

Responsibilities for this position specifically include: developing and leading departmental initiatives in clinical research in psychiatric oncology, contributing to the Department and Institution's research portfolio on behavioral interventions for patients and care partners, and conducting research that addresses integrated care and geriatric mental health. The faculty member will also be expected to produce scholarship that addresses these topics.

Clinically, the faculty member will contribute to program development in psychiatric oncology and provide direct patient and family care. The faculty member will also be expected to contribute to quality improvement and educational initiatives in this area. Education may include supervision of other mental health trainees and/or residents to promote psychosocial understanding of patient and family experiences.

Interested applicants should have earned a PhD in counseling and counseling education, or clinical, counseling, health, or family psychology from an accredited training program, as well as have demonstrated experience in medical education. The candidate must also have a license to practice psychotherapy in NYS or be license eligible. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the capacity to grow a program of research in psychiatric oncology, including successful grant applications and peer-reviewed publications. Ideal, candidates will also have clinical/supervisory skills and experience in integrated care (primary and/or specialty care), as well as experience working in academic medicine. **Qualifications**

Doctorate in counseling, counseling education, clinical psychology or family psychology from an accedited training program.

Must demonstrate experience in medical education

Licensed to practice psychotherapy in NYS or license eligble prior to start

Must demonstrate the capacity to grow a program of research in psychiatric oncology through successful grant applications and peer-reviewed publications.

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
