Job Details:GENERAL SUMMARY:
DevOps Engineers work with developers and IT teams to coordinate code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering, coding, infrastructure, and repository-based deployment. They are expected to know about the various tools and platforms which may be required to support data and software delivery (SDLC) automation capabilities.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building and maintaining tools, and solutions associated with the deployment of Data Engineering using Snowflake platform
- Provides SME-level operational support for the infrastructure, software development and delivery platforms managed by the Methods & Tools team including agile planning, release management, code management, code quality, artifact management, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, application performance management, and observability solutions, etc.
- Design, build and deliver cloud computing solutions, hosted services, and underlying software infrastructure
- Assist engineering teams in provisioning Cloud workloads in Azure and Google Cloud
- Liaise with software developers, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to address issues with interoperability of solutions with existing system software
- Use project management best practices to initiate, manage, and close projects, often simultaneously across a variety of projects.
Qualifications & Minimum Requirments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of experience in DevOps Engineering.
- Position also requires 2 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform); 2 years of experience with Snowflake data warehouse; and 2 years of experience with Unix or Linux system administration.
- May work remotely 100% from a home office location anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Goodlettsville, Tennessee is not required.
