General Summary:
The internal communications senior manager creates content for all internal communications vehicles to ensure alignment and consistency of message, utilizing current and emerging technologies, while protecting Dollar General's brand messaging and culture. The internal communication senior manager will be responsible for ensuring all internal communication goals and strategies are met and help maintain a favorable image of our mission, Serving Others. This individual represents the organization and a serves as a model of our culture.
Job Details:Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and evolve effective and efficient communication vehicles to foster inclusion and employee engagement through DGme (intranet):
- Content creation and distribution of all operational employee communication campaigns to enhance employee education, loyalty, and recognition.
- Advocate for enhanced employee engagement and communications platforms in support of the business goals for retention, engagement and education.
- Develop analytic measurements to gauge and calibrate the effectiveness of communication and messaging.
- Strategize with other support partners to enable appropriate use of the platform.
- Ensure legal compliance and monitor content in accordance with legal guidance.
Research and create content and oversee creative asset design for employee communication platforms including: DGme, Town Hall presentations, memos, posters, flyers, brochures and handouts:
- Monitor employee communication platforms to ensure consistency in message and branding.
- Develop and implement integrated internal communications and executive thought leadership programs, that increase brand awareness, drive platform adoption, enhance reach/visibility and drive alignment with executive vision and priorities.
- Foster and maintain partner relationships to forecast recurring communications leveraging key learnings to optimize efficiency and drive audience engagement.
Other Duties, as assigned:
- With direction, draft executive communication talking points, organizational announcements, e-newsletters, editorials and other employee media collateral.
- Execute communication campaign plans from concept to execution.
- Manage channel editorial calendar and ensure alignment with business unit and holistic organizational goals, strategic priorities and messaging.
- Research and develop briefs on emerging internal communication issues/crisis as directed.

- Knowledge of media monitoring databases, services and reporting.

- Understanding of and/or experience communicating with retail and supply chain audience across expansive company footprint.
Work Experience &/or Education:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, strategic communications, public relations or related field is required.
- 4-6 years' work experience.
