DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Architect, design, and build complex storage environments; architect, design, and build large backup and recovery environments; design and implement SAN configuration; maintain, provision, and monitor storage; maintain, provision, and monitor backup and recovery systems; provide SOP documentation to Level 2 resources for storage and backup & recovery systems; develop management and capacity monitoring reports; plan, test, update, execute and support system disaster recovery process.
Qualifications:Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Five (5) years of experience with large-scale and distributed data center; SAN management and zoning skills with Cisco MDS director class fabric switches with workbook documentation; enterprise backup and recovery software and systems, including EMC Networker and disk-based backup solutions; network attached storage file share technology using Isilon clusters; and large-scale storage, backup, and recovery environments.
- Position also requires knowledge of storage technology, storage area networks (SAN), network attached storage (NAS); implementation and management of enterprise-class storage technology; and storage presentation as it relates to database management concepts including Oracle and MS SQL, virtualization technologies.
- Must also have expertise with SAN implementation and planning on Cisco MDS, Excel workbook documentation skills for SAN and storage array management, Disaster Recovery planning and testing experience including bare-metal or “hot site” recovery, and strong system programming and shell-scripting skills.
- May work remotely 100% from a home office location anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Goodlettsville, Tennessee is not required.
