Job Details:

General Summary:

 

Oversees all account relationships owned by account managers, while building and maintaining client relationships with strategic accounts. Serves at coach and mentor to ensure the planning, development and execution of multi-channel vendor partnerships are maintained, including DG co-marketing programs and key brand/portfolio amplifications.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate Retail Media Network value proposition to inspire clients to pursue new product offerings
  • Manage ongoing client relationships and sales
  • Deliver and develop appropriate customer engagement and retention strategies
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams (e.g. category management, merchandising) to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers
  • Understand client objectives and assist with addressing pain points
  • Build client enthusiasm regarding new product developments and updates
  • Work with clients to develop innovative strategies that serve their individual needs
  • Actively coach team of account managers to own and manage client relationships and sales
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years in a client relationship and/or sales role
  • Deep knowledge of the online advertising space with an understanding of exchange and audience-based selling and the technologies that enable it; experience in retail media highly desired. Past experience across programmatic channels for sales and account management is preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels, including executive management
  • Foundational understanding of retail business models
  • Comfort with mathematical concepts and experience interfacing with analytical customer personas
  • Ability to manage the sales process from start to finish is critical, including developing buy-in from internal stakeholders in marketing, merchandising, and strategy
  • Ability to develop talent at Account Manager, Sales Operations level

Work Experience and/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications preferred.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience planning and executing promotional and/or shopper campaigns required, preferably in a retail environment.
