GENERAL SUMMARY:
Gather forecasting and budgeting information. Create and maintain databases, analyze data and create reports that help identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve store operations efficiencies and effectiveness.
Job Details:DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review poor performing stores, identifying and communicating issues including ordering issues, scanning issues, average transaction issues.
- Analyze new store performance, identify and review under-performing stores.
- Review weekly performance and identify significant changes to inventory.
- Utilize asset protection software for follow-up of stores not utilizing asset protection tools.
- Assist Asset Protection Department and retail field managers in the identification of trends or exceptions in high shrink stores.
- Develop store plans in conjunction with Financial Planning Department and Store Operations Department.
- Develop expense and income budgets for other retail expenses.
- Measure all expense performance to plan weekly, monthly, year-to-date expenses, as required.
- Accumulate and develop capital needs for retail in conjunction with Store Operations Department and Store Growth Department for fixtures and equipment.
- Assist with the coordination and communication of all software enhancements.
- Work with corporate teams to create or modify information in a format conducive to the user.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word; Access programming preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with budget preparation, processing invoices and labor analysis.
WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:
- College degree in business, marketing, logistics or other related field requiring statistical analysis preferred.
- Retail analytical experience preferred.
- Retail operations experience.
