That's Nice, But What's the Job?

General Summary: What business need does this position exist to fill? (Maximum of 3 Sentences)

The Assistant Director of Claims is responsible for overseeing department operations and initiatives. They will work with other senior leaders to outline department and company goals, and strategies to achieve these goals.

Essential Job Functions: What will be required in the role?

  • Maintains operational efficiency through regular review of performance KPI's, staffing, department metrics, and operational resources (policies and procedures, reporting, etc.)
  • Is forward thinking and identifies opportunities to contribute to the overall goals and strategy of the organization
  • Drives for continuous improvement and positive change within their department
  • Has a strong focus on promoting team development, motivation, and positive morale
  • Strives for personal development and identifies ways to continue to grow within the role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): What KSAs are required to perform this job?

  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team and achieve performance and project goals
  • Strong communication skills and comfortability presenting information to internal and external customers and clients
  • Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and appropriately delegate
  • Ability to think big and challenge the norm
  • Strong decision quality and ability to operate in the gray
  • Skilled at developing other leaders

Work Experience/Education: Minimum education and/or experience requirements necessary to perform this job

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Progressive track record with 3-5+ years of leadership experience; ideally with call center, operations center, or customer service experience
