Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) – Diabetes Program

 

Full-Time | Bergen County, NJ | 10 Minutes from NYC

 

Englewood Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our nationally recognized Diabetes Program. About the Opportunity

 

  • An expert team of endocrinologists, podiatrists, and certified diabetes educators, including registered nurses and registered dietitians.
  • Schedule: Five (5) days per week – 9:00A-5:00P.

What your day will look like

 

  • Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of specialty, role-modeling application of clinical practice standards.
  • Provides inpatient consultations, under the supervision of the endocrinology attendings. 
  • Identifies clinical problems, determines and prioritizes patient care needs, and proposes solutions and/or a plan to address the issue.
  • Selects and performs tests and therapeutic procedures for the patient as necessary, adhering to scope of practice guidelines and Diabetes Program standards.
  • Serves as clinical resource for the Diabetes Program, contributing to the coordination of diabetes care and education across the continuum. 
  • In collaboration with the Diabetes Program Manager, provides outpatient diabetes, self-management education and support as per the ADA national standards.
  • Appropriately bases health promotion, maintenance and teaching methods on patient's development level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn and culture.
  • Extend excellent clinical and communication skills.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, required
  • National Board certification, required
  • Current NJ Professional Nurse License
  • Current NJ Nurse Practitioner License
  • Current DEA and NJ CDS registration, required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification, required
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification, preferred
  • Meets Medical Staff By-Law Requirements for Collaborative Protocols

Englewood Health offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, comprehensive benefits package, and other incentive programs for our employees. The rate shown reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position; actual pay will depend on several factors, including educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Pay Range: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
