Job Summary:
Coordinates the planning and implementation of an Infection Prevention Program designed to prevent and control the transmission of infections in the Medical Center. He/she has the authority to institute any surveillance, prevention and control measures or studies when there is reason to believe that a patient or personnel may be at risk. The coordinator works under the guidance of the manager, the Infection Prevention Committee and its chairperson. He/she assumes responsibility for infection prevention and control activities in the absence of the Manager of Infection Prevention.

Job Essentials:
- 2 years' acute care nursing experience preferred or Infection Prevention experience in a LTACH.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, must be able to collaborate well with the team and with leadership.
- Powerpoint experience required, intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or other Health-Related field preferred.
License, Registration, Certification:
- Current NJ State Nursing Licensure required.
- Certification as CIC preferred.
