Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.   

The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability, and security.  Requires in-depth skills in Oracle database administration. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Administering Oracle 19C databases on 2 node RAC.
  • Monitoring and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c.
  • Back-up and recovery using RMAN (ZDLRA knowledge is a plus)
  • Oracle E-business suite R12.2 maintenance, patching, cloning and code migration.
  • Oracle WebLogic Server Administration.
  • Working with High availability systems and load balancers.
  • Database Performance and System tuning.
  • Python, Shell Scripting and Ansible for automation of the following day to day tasks:
    • Cloning 
    • Patching 
  • Knowledge with on-prem Exadata is a plus.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications

  • 10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 3 years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (12.1.x/12.2.x).
  • Strong expertise in managing and maintaining Oracle 2-node RAC environments on ASM is a must.
  • Thorough knowledge on multitenant architecture. Container and Pluggable database administration and cloning.
  • RMAN Backup and Recovery skills, and experience with Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery (physical standby setups, switchover/failover operations) are a must.
  • Proficient in Oracle DB patching, Performance tuning and issue troubleshooting (HANG Analyzer, system state dump, SQL Tuning, AWR analysis, Trace file analysis etc.)
  • Comfortable with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting for automation and monitoring tasks. Ansible knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EBS application tier components (Concurrent Managers, Workflow, Forms/Reports, OACORE).
  • Experience with EBS R12.2 support (online patching (ADOP), applying CPU/PSU patches, cloning)
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c for monitoring and management of databases. Target metrics administration is required.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle networking, listener configuration, and troubleshooting. Exadata knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work in 24x7 production environments, including on-call support and weekend maintenance.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Position will be full time in office in downtown Houston.
