Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. The Turnaround Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of his/her assigned project area throughout its life cycle. Schedulers will walk down scope, verify progress, and coordinate with all parties to ensure the schedule reflects proper status and forecast. During execution Schedulers will mobilize to the field and provided daily forecasts for the management team. All Turnaround Schedulers will ensure the status of every phase is accurately reflected in the reporting cycle. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting the Project Manager/Turnaround support staff in the development of detailed job plans and estimates
- Load activities or steps in scheduling software
- Develop procedures to maintain the schedule
- Coordinate scheduling efforts for the client
- Update schedules per the clients scheduling standards
- Deliver information as requested to clients/contractors
- Audit updates to ensure compliance with Client Scheduling Standards.
- Validate recovery plans should they be needed to maintain the planned finish date. Responsible for schedule data accuracy.
- Review and verify all progress on the project.
- Perform a continuous review of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction schedules to ensure they are fully integrated.
- Provide direction and stewardship of EPC Contractors to ensure that their schedule reporting is performed in compliance with Client reporting standards
- Develop proper scheduling infrastructure for each turnaround: activity codes, resources, WBS nodes, etc.
- Import jobs, tie logic, code, resource load/level all work in the schedule
- Facilitate schedule reviews with TMT and Ops
- Work with planners and operations to develop decom/com plans for each system
- Work with cost group and planners on histograms and start/stop dates of necessary contractors
- Contractor onboarding
- Follow assigned contractors/jobs and verify progress throughout all phases
- Work with a scheduler to monitor the productivity of contractors throughout all phases
- Monitor all contractor's safety practices
- Monitor contractor headcount and ensure it is appropriate for the work fronts
- Work with inspections to identify any additional/discovery work
- Coordinate with cost group on AWR cost.
Requirements
The successful candidate shall meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Technical certification or associate's degree or equivalent training in a process or mechanical environment energy-related field is preferred.
- 5 years of maintenance or operations experience in a natural gas processing/fractionation plant, petrochemical plant, gas gathering or transmission, or refinery is required.
- 5 years of scheduling experience in turnarounds.
- Have or develop a broad knowledge of administrative operating procedures to effectively comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Specific training and/or experience in computer use including the use of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and Primavera software is essential.
- Experience with coordinating maintenance and/or capital-related work including procurement of materials and services, scheduling contractors, and producing job plans is required.
- Must have effective organizational skills.
- Must be a team player that interacts effectively with co-workers in a group or in independent cooperative activities.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to chair meetings with senior management in a formal setting.
- Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously strive for improvement.
