JOB OVERVIEW:

The Account Executive position provides an exceptional opportunity for a career-minded individual who wants to make a meaningful contribution within our organization. The complexity of accounts and innovative service offering fosters both a challenging and rewarding learning environment that will enable one to grow both professionally and financially. The Account Executive for Insurance Services provides excellent customer service by ensuring all client needs are met while engaging in behaviors such as selection and pricing of complex risks and supports the development of new business. They build robust relationships through working to understand client needs and providing solutions that effectively promote alternative forms of transfer for client's risks. In this role, the Account Executive for Insurance Services will be responsible for managing, retaining, and growing a diverse book of captive insurance accounts. This is a support role for our Director of Insurance Services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

  • Demonstrate advanced skills in analysis, problem solving, planning and organizing. Strong desire to work collaboratively and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Identify and analyze insurance exposures for client. Use of commercial rate tables and interaction with actuaries.
  • Assists in developing a captive program in response to client's needs, communicates the captive plan to clients, and gains client's approval.
  • Reviews the client's exposures and loss experience against current types of coverage and analyzes the risks to determine product service requirements.
  • Upon client's acceptance, binds coverage and issues appropriate documents. Invoices client and monitors payment by the client to avoid policy cancellation.
  • Review contracts and insurance requirements for placement and identify gaps in coverage, suitability, and errors. Ensure that contract language comports with insurance policy templates.
  • Develop, format, and perform technical analysis on client data submissions.
  • Work with clients to identify, analyze, and quantify exposures.
  • Help client understand which program structure and risk retention is most beneficial to their captive program.
  • Developing productive business relationships with state regulators and outside service providers.
  • Keep client abreast of marketplace developments and innovations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a timeline and process during new business and renewal cycles inclusive of exposure analysis, quote specifications, collateral analysis, and preparation and presentation of coverage proposals.
  • Determine, coordinate and direct account management activities with various departments.
  • Develop client relationships and assist service team efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational improvement and recommend solutions. Has the ability to anticipate problems and creatively propose solutions to those issues.
  • Prepare reports and present results to clients and management.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Company at its discretion from time to time.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 5 years of broker, underwriting or insurance CSR experience.
  • Insurance consulting or broker license is preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for interpretation of coverage forms, contractual agreements, and financial statements.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Client service focused with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented, technical ability to identify, create, and present data.
  • Strong understanding of professional and industry standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other on-line computer systems.

COMPENSATION: 

The national average salary for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
