Description

Performs a variety of administrative accounting work for the Finance Department assisting in the Operations and Budget and Profitability areas. Accounting duties may include, but are not limited to, general ledger entries, reconciliations, analytical review and internal reporting to be utilized by management.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Prepares recurring and non-recurring journal entries as part of the monthly closing process.

2. Balances and reconciles various accounts on a daily and monthly basis and investigates variances as necessary.

3. Balances or reconciles assigned intercompany accounts to ensure proper elimination in consolidation.

4. Provides analytical assistance with respect to financial reports and other financial data.

5. Prepares internal financial statements and reports that are utilized by management.

6. Researches budget variances and incorrect or unusual entries

7. Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.

8. Assists in compiling information for internal auditors, external auditors or examiners as requested.

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

1. A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting or related field or one (1) to three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related position is required.

2. Proficient in typing, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, reading, writing and grammar skills, analytical or mathematical skills, and communications and interpersonal relations are required.

3. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
