In this role, you'll use a mission-driven, data-driven mindset to operational support that helps First Commonwealth achieve our Community Impact & Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives in direct alignment with delivering our mission to improve the financial lives of our neighbors and their businesses.  

You'll access various internal and external data sources for research and reporting that will help leaders understand areas of success and opportunity that connects the work they do with our CRA goals in the areas of community development lending, community development investments, and community development services.

Being relentless and collaborative are attributes you'll practice in collecting thorough documentation, working within multiple systems, partnering across several areas of bank, and communicating with many community organizations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Community Development Lending

1. Attends SLC and both OLCs to identify potential CDL opportunities

o Follows Up with RMs to confirm eligibility

o Works with RMs to gather supporting documentation required to qualify the CDL

o Ensures supporting documentation is saved in Abrigo, Applink, and NexGen

o Manages the CDL steps in Abrigo to ensure workflows can advance appropriately.

o Ensures that CDLs are coded correctly in Abrigo 

o Attends Additional Opportunity Discussions and integrates Regional Community Impact Officers where appropriate to work front-end opportunities prior to OLC/SLC presentation. 

o Compiles and maintains reporting on all community development loans monthly. 

o Reports to Corporate CRA Committee on Community Development Loan Production quarterly. 

Investment

2. Serves as the portfolio specialist for all new investments that flow through the Community Impact team. 

3. Coordinates CRA contribution opportunities in partnership with Regional Community Impact Officers & Community Engagement Manager.

4. Gathers required supporting documentation for investments/contributions to qualify community development investments.

5. Obtains quarterly investment reporting from the Chief Treasury Officer. 

6. Ensures that CRA contributions are coded correctly in AvidXchange (BankTel).

7. Compiles and maintains reporting on all community development loans monthly.

8. Reports to Corporate CRA Committee on Community Development Investment Production quarterly. 

Service

9. Compiles data and reporting on board or loan committee (external) service opportunities across the footprint, along with tracking on existing employees board service (term starts, term ends) to ensure FCB maintains board seats.

10. Works with Marketing and Community Engagement to gather all other community development service hours (financial education, technical assistance) monthly. 

11. Compiles and maintains reporting on all community development services monthly.

12. Reports to Corporate CRA Committee on Community Development Service Production quarterly. 

13. Coordinates and schedules semi-annual touch base appointments with all CRA eligible organizations in existing business portfolio. 

Administrative & Operational

14. Works with Compliance to be first line on all reporting for CRA performance and manages the performance reporting for Community Development Loan, Investments, and Services.  

15. Manages budget to actual financials performance via Axiom and other departmental reporting for Finance. 

16. Provide administrative support for the Corporate Community Impact Officer. 

17. In conjunction with the Corporate Community Impact Officer, develop departmental systems, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure scalability and replicability of our platform that supports growth and expansion and the regional model of the bank. 

18. Performs basic customer service account functions like submitting wires and managing the customer management system that includes customer maintenance.

19. Uses FindCRA, MarketSmart, and other platforms to identify and develop prospect lists for LMI lending, investments, and services.

20. Maintains an inventory including description and exam cycle production of all CRA programs, products, and initiatives including loans and deposits.

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

1. An associate's degree or equivalent experience is required.  

2. A minimum of five (5) years of community development experience is required.

3. Exceptional time management ability is critical, as are communication and organizational skills.  

4. A valid driver's license and ability to travel across the bank footprint are required.
