  • Virtual Trainer plays a crucial role in delivering training and onboarding programs remotely. Specializing in virtual training delivery, this role is responsible for providing comprehensive training to CDL drivers, field trainers, and other safety roles using online platforms and virtual classroom environments.
  • Major Responsibilities
    • Deliver virtual training sessions to new operators or re-training of current operators, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
    • Deliver virtual training and ongoing development to field training teams, including new trainer certification, professional development safety training, and other safety training support.
    • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive virtual training content, covering program theory, essential skills, and practical demonstrations.
    • Conduct live virtual training sessions, facilitate discussions, and provide real-time feedback to participants.
    • Utilize various online platforms and tools to create immersive learning experiences for trainees.
    • Track attendance and maintain accurate training documentation in virtual training environments.
    • Collaborate with the HQ Training & Onboarding team to continuously improve virtual training programs and materials.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in virtual training delivery.
    • Provide support and assistance to trainees during virtual training sessions, addressing any technical or logistical issues.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment in virtual training sessions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Education or Certifications Required
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must currently hold, or previously held, Class B or higher CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements
    • Must meet FMCSA and state requirements for Entry Level Driver Training Theory Trainer.


    Minimum Experience or Skills Required
    • 2 years' experience operating as a school bus driver with Class B CDL or higher and federal and state-required endorsements.·
    • 1 to 3 years of experience delivering in person or virtual training or online education programs.
    • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency with virtual training platforms and online collaboration tools.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively manage remote work responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to adapt training content and delivery methods to suit virtual learning environments.
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues during virtual training sessions.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
    • Possess reliable internet connection and necessary peripherals for virtual training delivery.
