To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Asset Management Specialist located in Milpitas, CA.

Reporting to the Senior Process Engineering Manager the Asset Management Specialist is responsible for supporting and carrying out activities related to asset management, including asset planning and allocation, monitoring capital expenditure (CapEx) forecasts, coordinating asset purchases and internal transfers, managing rental logistics, overseeing delivery schedules, and assisting with asset disposal processes. Works collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure efficient asset utilization and compliance with company policies.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Single point of contact for Asset management team and site.
  • Be the bridge between the local Finance & Ops worlds
  • Work with the local site team acting as the gate keeper in preparing Wish List (PMK), Site FCST, CPX, PRJ/CPX
  • Conduct regular reviews with GM and Finance Controller
  • After PMK (Project Master Key) approve by GM, will need to perform "Ready to BPC/FCST approval". Then PMK will integrate to BPC Ops system.
  • Integration Wishlist (PMK) detail line item forecast input in BPC Ops. Ability to adjust to align with tasking.
  • Coordinate with project owner to prepare CER & purchase item quotation then ready to work with Finance Controller to submit PRJ.
  • After PRJ/CPX approve, notify the owner to request for ERP PO creation. 
  • After PO created, all the manufacturing equipment purchase order qualify for Reduce tax exemption. Request exempt Certificate from Tax department.  That will save Flex dollars.
  • Ensure supplier invoice with Reduce tax rate.  OR require accruing the sale tax to avoid Tax audit burden in the future.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Managing the assets receipt approval workflow-download ERP finalized transaction Leger account (CIP), Pull out invoice from system and follow up with AP for sale tax apply.
  • Ensure gather invoice and PO, work with asset owner for acceptance status.  Fill up template to register as new fixed asset and submit to GBS EAM team follow by the tagging.
  • Coordinate for Fixed Asset sale and Responsible for maintaining the status of current fixed assets that are either disposed or transferred to other sites.
  • Ensure activities are following corporate PPE policy. Compose a detailed analysis in PI for fixed assets.
  • Maintaining Capex tracker log including PRJ/Capex #, description, PO, asset location per business unit and per each MEP site. Help to submit PO creation for Capex related.
  • Follow up with engineer for accuracy of forecast and analyze month end fixed asset actual vs forecast commentary. Maintain BPC Ops Forecast file every time changes.
  • Perform month end CIP data allocate by customer driver and send to GBS EAM team to load into Financial system BPC in timely manner.
  • Perform quarter end commentary between Actual vs Forecast data sent to Controller for part of Controllers reporting in timely manner.
