Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Assistant Manager - Legal located in Chennai location.
In charge of assisting and providing a range of legal hold up and administration to lawyers and other legal professionals engaged in corporate governance, M&A, and other corporate transactions.
What a typical day looks like:
Perform legal, factual and records research. Cross-check, validate and researches for information.
Identify relevant judicial resolutions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material.
Manage local, state, federal, and foreign filings, regulatory filings, liens, and other filings and administrative matters as necessary.
Manage and maintain records of corporate subsidiaries, board documents and minutes, director and officer information, governance policies and compliance processes.
Prepare correspondences as needed.
Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy.
Build and maintain databases and files.
Organize and track case files and records through management system. May review and improve system processes.
Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations.
Coordinate cross-functionally internally and externally with third party vendors, consultants, intermediaries, etc.
Principal Accountabilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for providing support for multiple attorneys and paralegals in order to ensure that all legal aspects are attended to as per company policy and applicable legislation.
The incumbent will:
Complete legal filing as per company and legislative requirements.
Fulfill international and domestic signature requests.
Collaborate to invention disclosure and patent application administration.
Maintain legal entity databases.
Assist with corporate governance-related projects.
Assist with completion of due diligence.
Prepare drafts of corporate resolutions, contracts and other legal documents.
Manage document production.
Prepare reports, correspondence and memoranda.
Make recommendations to other members of the Legal Department.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field or equivalent experience and training.
Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough comprehension of Flex and related business.
Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; recognizes the strategic impact of the function across sites.
Candidate Profile –
Hands on 3 - 4 years exp. in Legal Dept of a multinational corporation or LPO
Good knowledge in Company Law and provide points/assess legal requirements.
Good exp. in document management & attention to detail.
Exp. in legal filing both domestic & international entity
Excellent Communication skills in oral/written English.
Very strong knowledge in MS Office.
Provide suggestions to the team when necessary with regards to legal requirements
